Learn About Us!

As Founder of Emerald Enterprises, Donna Schwartz, is loving life most days and strives to help others create and live their ideal life.  When you learn about us, you will see that life has not been perfect, but we kept moving forward.  We would get up every time we were knocked down.

After retiring from the education world I went into a funk and seemed to be losing energy and focus.  Then almost by accident, I went into a stage of about 3 years in which I began Reinventing who I was.  I started a new business for me which had multiple benefits of improving my mindset, followed by my health, and financial wellness.

After growing up in Pomona, California, I graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a major in physical and health education. 

I founded and owned an industrial safety products and fire extinguisher service business for 10 years while also creating a cheerleader, dance, and color guard team business for schools and competition teams. 

My passion has been helping kids, as well as adults, build self confidence to live their ideal lives using the principles she learned in personal development.

Starting a non-profit for entrepreneur education continues to be an online option for teens and adults.

I have personally studied under many leaders within the personal development industry. These include Zig Ziglar, Jim Rohn, Dennis Waitley, Tony Robbins, Jerry Clark, John Maxwell, Les Brown, Ona Brown, Robert Kiyosaki, T.Harv Eker, Sean Akor, Andy Andrew, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Bob Davis, and Richard Chang and many others. I have taken courses from Howard College for entrepreneurs, Landmark Education, Nouveau Riche College for Real Estate Investors, Liberty League International, and taken the Dale Carnegie Sales and Business Administration courses.

We are both active in the National Exchange Club, a community service organization committed to the prevention of child abuse.  Our main project is to put together housewarming baskets for transitional youth - those 18 year old youth going from foster care to independent living.

Both of us also serve the community by being members of the Bakersfield Breakfast Rotary Club.

As a sports enthusiast, I play tennis or pickleball several times a week.  Players at any sport, who go beyond the norm and succeed at higher levels, are an inspiration to both of us.

We are real estate investors.  I manage the rentals, both residential and commercial. Family, however, is the most important part of our lives. We have four children and seven grandchildren and especially love being a grandparents.

Reinventing Our Lifestyle By Paying It Forward


Traveling is how we spend at least a couple of months each year trading timeshares for cruises or unique vacation spots.  We attend several conferences a year with our businesses and community service organizations.
